The discoveries of non-fossilized dinosaur bones with red blood cells, soft tissues and DNA are another head ache for the secular misinterpretation of the world, yet perfectly fit the biblical view of a planet which has endured a global flood.
In the beginning, the Garden of Eden was a place of peace and beauty until the serpent beguiled Eve. How did he cause her to stumble? The serpent simply questioned the authority of God’s Word.
Today, we find God’s Word under constant questioning and, while the Scriptures always hold up to honest scrutiny, seeds of doubt are being planted about the authority of God’s Word.
The truth is we are embroiled in a war of worldviews: the secular view versus the biblical view. In this battle, secularists have employed everything from public schools to children’s books to plant doubt about the reliability of God’s Word in a child’s mind.
Take dinosaurs as an example. The Biblical view holds dinosaurs were made on the sixth day along with man and because of Adam’s sin, death entered God’s perfect creation, separating us from our loving Creator.
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:21-22
The Biblical view includes that animals which were not on the Ark during the global flood were drowned and buried in what I refer to as the judgment layers which now make up the crust of the earth.
The secular interpretation of dinosaurs is based on two beliefs:
Based on these beliefs, they think these beasts lived 200 million years ago and became extinct 65 million years ago, placing dinosaurs and death in the world before man appeared.
It’s of no wonder Jesus warned if we don’t believe Moses we will have trouble believing Him (John 5:47) as the secular interpretation of dinosaurs has been a stumbling block to the faith of billions of people. Because of this, and since we all have the same evidence to observe, let’s look at dinosaurs through the Biblical view to decide which view best interprets the evidence.
Archeological findings support the Biblical view. Though dinosaur bones were not recognized until 1821, 500 to 2,000 year-old drawings of dinosaurs have been found. A Cambodian temple built 850 years ago has a Stegosaurus carved in one of its walls. People had to have seen them!
Historical writings support the Biblical view. The word dinosaur was invented in 1861. Before that they were called dragons, and hundreds of dragon stories are known. Alexander the Great, Pliny the Elder, St. George, Marco Polo and others wrote of their dragon encounters. People had to have seen them!
God told Job of, Behemoth, which I made with thee. God also said Behemoth had a tail like a cedar and was the chief of the ways of God (the largest of God’s creatures). This fits the description of the cedar-like-tailed Sauropods which are the largest known land dwelling animals ever to have lived. God deserves the glory for having created dinosaurs!
Discoveries of non-fossilized dinosaur bones with red blood cells, soft tissues, DNA, amino acids and Carbon-14 (which should decay away in less than 100,000 years) certainly fit the biblical view of a planet which has recently endured a global flood.
Yet billions of people have been misled to believe, 65 million years ago dinosaurs became extinct, I wrote and illustrated a kids activity book titled, Noah’s Ark and Dinosaurs. Based on my service message by the same title, this reveals the authority of God’s Word and teaches the biblical foundations from creation to salvation.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3
My advice is that we believe God’s Word: Word for Word and cover to cover.
